Day 24: Nocturne Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms with street light in the background

I wasn’t feeling like taking a picture today, in fact I forgot my camera at home in the morning. Miraculously, my neighbor offered to show me where the running track is. So I decided to take Niko (that’s the name I baptize my camera with) just in case. As we were crossing through a park, I realize how beautiful the cherry blossoms looked with the street back light. It was cold, so I couldn’t keep a steady hand, I might come back and redo the whole thing (I might bring my tripod this time). Geez, night photography is tough. Even though it did’t turn out very well, I like it, it’s a little abstract, a little Je ne sais quoi.

Side note, my laptop is giving its last kicks, I seriously don’t know what’s wrong, it overheats so much, that when I upload stuff to Flickr I have to stick it inside the fridge and wait, otherwise it shuts itself off. Oh well, let’s hope it doesn’t die soon.

Day 22: Everybody Cheers!!

Cheers: Where everybody knows your name!

It was a great yet long weekend, I got to work on Saturday, no big deal, in fact it was way fun, it was science club day or something like that. That night I went to Daegu, and debuted as the Talk historian, I got to take pictures of our get together in Daegu, many people showed up and it was a great opportunity to catch up and tell each other about our adventures teaching Korean kids. Everyone had something to share, some were horror stories about how kids are just uncontrollable, and others shared how much they love to teach and how cute their students are. Overall we all had a good time being together and taking a break from our drudgery (character shaping) Korean country life. Unfortunately I had to leave early due to a serious headache, so I couldn’t stay the whole night. And that’s it, enjoy the pictures.
